Ecotherapy :: healing outdoors

Nature AS aN ally

Feel yourself exhale and your body relax as you step outside. Ecotherapy is a collaboration with the healing power of nature. Sessions typically take place outdoors in a natural setting, such as a park or garden, and can be done walking or seated.

Eco-therapy is a proven method to alleviate stress, anxiety and depression, and soothe the mind and body. I am a life-long nature lover and it is my joy to work with clients outdoors to reconnect with their child-like wonder, curiosity, spontaneity and joy.

Benefits of ecotherapy

  • Calm the nervous system

  • Ground in the present moment through the five senses

  • Quiet the mind

  • Gain new perspectives on issues

  • Learn from the lessons of nature

  • Experience joy, awe and gratitude

  • Connect to one’s essence as part of nature

  • Feel supported by something larger

What to expect in an ecotherapy session

Sessions are an organic co-creation between the client, myself and the environment, and may include: walking, standing and/or sitting. Each session is tailored to the needs of the client and the conditions. Clients may participate in:

  • Grounding practices to connect with their body’s five senses and the environment

  • Mindfulness activities

  • Reflection exercises

  • Gentle movement

  • Spontaneous and synchronistic discovery in the natural world
